Lace and embroidery in September

September was a busy month and we are happy we attended three different exhibitions, where we launched our new publications: Il Macramè di Sabrina di Sabrina Salvioli and Quattro Bordini Aemilia Ars di Bianca Rosa Bellomo, Carla D’Alessandro and Luisa Monteventi.

We displayed all our books about Aemilia Ars lace in Palazzo Re Enzo.

We participated to Magia tra fili e ricami in Villa Buri, Verona. Here we also hosted Sabrina Salvioli who gave some demonstrations from her publication. Silvana Fontanelli was showing her beautiful works too.

Finally we went to Cesena Manualmente fair, with a whole area dedicated to embroidery, lace and weaving.
We hosted Sabrina Salvioli again and she gave some more demonstrations of macrame. Among the exhibitors, there were also our authors Bianca Rosa Bellomo, Carla D’Alessandro and Luisa Monteventi of I Merletti di Antonilla Cantelli, Alicja Kwartnik with her tatting lace works and Cristina Notore of Talea Officina Tessile.

During Manualmente, it took place the awards ceremony of Saluti da Cesena, a competition we were sponsor of. All works were really beautiful: very compliments to the three awarded artists! A special mention to Laura Boglione (author of Il Punto Risparmiato) who won the second prize.
