Description
This volume is a reprint of one of the most important and complete Italian books about bobbin lace. It is printed on glossy paper and shows many illustrations. It was first published in 1911 by Bergamo Arti Grafiche. The numerous laces displayed are part of important collections. The research is focused on Genoa, Venice, Milan and Abruzzo. The author explains the history of these laces, loved by more and more people every day: from the Genoese wheels which adorned luxurious gowns to the simple laces adorning folk costumes.
This new edition includes an introduction by Bianca Rosa Bellomo and a detailed index of names and quoted texts.
